  OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental--The Local Government of Ozamiz, led by Mayor Henry “Indy” Oaminal Jr, led the soft opening of the SM Lao Memorial City General Hospital—which was considered a “significant breakthrough” in the city’s healthcare sector. Earlier this week, Oaminal stressed the inaugural ceremony for the new healthcare facility was “a crucial step towards enhancing healthcare accessibility and quality” within the province of Misamis Occidental under the visionary program of the Padayon Asenso Ozamiz Administration. The hospital's soft opening is part of its transitional period and allows the hospital team to adjust to the new facilities, personnel, and operational procedures. The procurement of supplies was originally budgeted at P73 million. The provincial government reduced the Approved Budget Contract to P57 million without compromising quality and the quantity of needed supplies.
