Newly Installed 903rd IB Commander commits to continue sustaining Peace in MisOcc



Taking on the challenge of sustaining Misamis Occidental’s status as insurgency-free, the governor and newly installed 903rd Misamis Occidental Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBn) of 9th Regional Community Defense Group, Lieutenant Colonel Henry S. Oaminal, committed to continuing initiatives to ensure lasting peace and development in the province of Misamis Occidental.

LTC Oaminal officially assumed his new post, replacing LTC Jaime Cajigas, in a change-of-command ceremony on Sunday presided by MGen Gabriel C. Viray III PA, Commander, JTF- Zampelan/ 1ID, PA at Camp Dominguez, Libertad Bajo Sinacaban, Misamis Occidental

He expressed his gratitude to the Philippine Army for the trust in giving him the rare chance to serve as the commander of this reserved command.

“I can assure you of my full support in whatever way I can whether in terms of capability trainings, facility improvement, and other means to make the organization even stronger as a vital partner of the government in rendering various services, especially in times of disasters and other related emergency situations and community services,’’ Oaminal shared.

LTC Oaminal also acknowledged the Philippine Army's vital role in achieving an insurgency-free province in line with the 5Ms development thrust of Misamisnon Magpuyong Malinawon, Malambuon ug Malipayon.

“We are very glad that our strong collaboration with the various stakeholders especially the Philippine Army has borne fruits as we were able to dismantle the Guerilla Front Sending in the province as of December 2023 resulting in the declaration of Misamis Occidental as an insurgency-free province,’’ he said.

Oaminal humbly and gladly accepted the responsibility of leading the organization of committed individuals whose devotion to service is commendable.

As the governor assumes his role as the commander of the 903rd Community Defense Center Reserved Command, he believes that by leading this organization, he can be of further service to the people through its various undertakings.

He emphasized that being reservists is all about love of country embellished by their sacrifices and willingness to offer their life beyond the call of duty for their family, country, and people. (SN/PGMO)

Gov. Oaminal secures ₱60 million budget for OFOP program from Speaker Romualdez

OROQUIETA CITY, Misamis Occidental—Governor Henry S. Oaminal secured additional funding worth ₱60 million for the One Family, One Professional (OFOP) program and an additional ₱15 million for farmers during his visit to House Speaker Martin Romualdez in Manila.
