MOPH conducts training on basic life support for newly hired nurses

The Misamis Occidental Provincial Hospital has recently conducted a comprehensive basic life support (BLS) training program for its 30 newly appointed job order nurses.

The training was facilitated by Dr. Marie D' L. Malinis, a distinguished certified trainer who is endorsed by the Philippine Heart Association.

The training program was initiated as part of the Misamis Occidental government's effort to strengthen and improve the healthcare workforce in the province.

Governor Henry S. Oaminal vowed to continue enhancing the provincial government's delivery of quality healthcare and basic public services for all Misamisnons.

This training program is in compliance with the Department of Health's (DOH) Administrative Order #155 s.2004, which aims to equip healthcare professionals with essential competencies to handle mass casualty incidents during emergencies and disasters.

By providing vital life-saving skills to these nurses, the hospital is enhancing its readiness to respond effectively to critical situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and staff. (PGMO)
