DSWD-10 honors MisOcc officials in its 73rd anniversary

 

The Department of Social Welfare and Development-Northern Mindanao (DSWD-10) honored the contributions of Misamis Occidental officials in time for its 73rd founding anniversary on March 12.

Governor Henry S. Oaminal, Representative Jason P. Almonte, and Representative Sancho Fernando “Ando” Oaminal were among the officials awarded by the DSWD-10 in its ceremonial recognition of the local and national government partner agencies’ dedication and shared vision with the department.

The event, graced by Regional Director Ramel F. Jamen was dubbed "Salamat Po” Gawad sa Paglilingkod sa Sambayanan”, and Kalambuan” Awards ceremony at the Chali Beach Resort, Cugman, Cagayan De Oro City.

Jamen emphasized the importance of their collective efforts in achieving the agency's goals and the need for sustained collaboration to create lasting positive change in the region.

Governor Oaminal received the “Kalambuan Award” for his pivotal role in advancing the goals of DSWD-10 through strong support for its services and programs.

His sponsorship of the Regional Management Development Conference (RMDC) highlights his dedication to promoting effective governance and sustainable development in the region, reflecting a proactive stance towards addressing social welfare needs and fostering inclusive growth for all constituents.

Governor Oaminal’s dedication and commitment to public service have significantly impacted the agency's programs, enabling remarkable results.

On the other hand, Representative Almonte and Representative Oaminal were awarded the “Salamat Po Award” in grateful acknowledgment of their Congressional District’s unwavering commitment and steadfast support of DSWD programs and services, particularly the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS). Their district has exemplified true public service in championing initiatives aimed at uplifting the most vulnerable members of our society.

The awards ceremony aimed to recognize and honor the outstanding efforts of various organizations and individuals who have played a pivotal role in supporting DSWD's mission of delivering essential programs and services to those in need.

The event was a fitting tribute to the unwavering commitment of these dedicated partners who have demonstrated a deep sense of compassion and collaboration in helping uplift the lives of the community.

DSWD commended its partners for their consistent communication, collaboration, and coordination, which were crucial in successfully implementing various welfare programs and initiatives.

Gov. Oaminal secures ₱60 million budget for OFOP program from Speaker Romualdez

OROQUIETA CITY, Misamis Occidental—Governor Henry S. Oaminal secured additional funding worth ₱60 million for the One Family, One Professional (OFOP) program and an additional ₱15 million for farmers during his visit to House Speaker Martin Romualdez in Manila.
