Gov. Oaminal promotes tourism development in MisOcc
Misamis Occidental Governor Henry S. Oaminal bared the
multi-billion worth of programs for tourism development and advancement in the
province.
In a live interview, Governor Oaminal said the Misamis
Occidental continues to build up a “ridge to reef tourism” to further spur the
province’s economic growth, particularly in the two districts.
“We are poise to develop Misamis Occidental not only as an
investment place but also in the tourism aspect so we implemented both coastal
and the mountain,’’ Gov. Oaminal said during an interview with Deo Macalma of
Damdaming Bayan DZRH Radio on March 4.
Oaminal touted the Asenso Misamis Occidental Resort and
Aquamarine Park, a Maldives-inspired resort in Sinacaban town, as well as the
Asenso Global Gardens (AGG) in Tangub City, the Piduan Falls and the Lake
Duminagat in Don Victoriano town.
Governor Oaminal also revealed that each local government
unit in the province is now developing its respective tourism destination,
making the Misamis Occidental well known to the entire Mindanao.
He highlighted the crucial role of LGUs in increasing
tourist arrivals, attracting potential investors, and consequently creating
more job opportunities for Misamisnons while contributing to higher provincial
revenues, in the province.
The venture is anchored on the provincial government's
flagship projects, aligned with Gov. Oaminal's Asenso vision—creating One
Misamisnons.
The province aims to make Misamis Occidental a premier
tourism destination and an investment hub for Mindanao.
“The ongoing infrastructure projects not only promise a
picturesque getaway for tourists but also signifies a promising step toward
sustainable economic development for the province,” Governor Oaminal noted.(SN/PGMO)
