Gov. Oaminal wants to embed good governance in village leaders
Misamis
Occidental Governor Henry S. Oaminal is bent on improving good governance in
the province’s local government officials and barangay leaders.
During the
basic orientation course of Barangay Newly Elected Officials (BNEO) for GREAT,
Oaminal emphasized the importance of empowering villages, as the primary unit
of governance in the province.
He promised
to continue advocating for measures that would help barangay officials improve
their capabilities and receive the benefits they deserve.
“Sa atong
pagserbisyo karon naningkamot gyud ta nga magmatinud-anon sa atong mga
trabaho.Kaning BNEO for GREAT—kamo mga barangay officials, human ani inyong
orientation kamo mahimong banggiitan nga mga public servants ug ang usa ka
mithi sa pagkabanggiitan mao ang values sa pagka-sincere, and dedicated—kini
tungod sa atong tumong nga mo Asenso ang atong mga katawhan,’’ he shared
Governor Oaminal’s
vision revolves around the progress of Misamis Occidental through the 5Ms of
Misamisnon Magpuyong Malinawon, Malambuon, and Malipayon.
He hopes
that barangay leaders will work towards uplifting the lives of their
constituents.
“Sa atong
panggagamhanan karon naka sentro sa atoang vision ang pag Asenso—Asenso Misamis
Occidental, AsensoTudela.Kini atoang 5Ms Misamisnon Magpuyong Malinawon,
Malambuon ug Malipayon,” he said.
Gov. Oaminal
urged all barangay officials to improve their services and become critical
actors in his administration’s efforts to improve the economic conditions of
the province.
He reminded
them of their heavy responsibility and crucial roles in helping spur
development in their respective barangays.
The
governor also emphasized the importance of sincerity and dedication in their
work as he asked all elected barangay officials to become a bridge for
innovation and better governance and to strive to improve their values in their
daily lives.
“Kamo
nagpapili para mo serbisyo, nadaog mo kay nakita ang inyo ang sinseridad nga mo
alagad. Ang atong mga proyekto, ug mga serbisyo angayan gyud nato ipaabot
kanila mao nang kinahanglan karon ato ng bag-ohon, ato nang i-improve ang atong
values sa atong panginabuhi ug pagpuyo,” he said.
Gov. Oaminal
touted a series of noteworthy projects and programs implemented during his
first year in office.
Further, he
extended assistance, worth P50,000, to all barangays to address the needs of
