PDEA Misamis Occidental seizes ₱115-million worth of shabu in region 10’s biggest drug haul

  The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Misamis Occidental Provincial Office scored a major breakthrough in the fight against illegal drugs after confiscating more than ₱115 million worth of shabu, marking the biggest drug haul in the history of Region 10. The operation was carried out by agents of PDEA Misamis Occidental and its Interdiction Unit, led by IA I Ralph Carlo L. Denoy under the supervision of IA V Elvis M. Taghoy Jr. They were joined by operatives from the PDEA Misamis Oriental Provincial Office, Misamis Oriental Airport and Seaport Interdiction Unit, Regional Enforcement Team, and the Philippine National Police (PNP) through its City Intelligence Unit, Cagayan de Oro Police Station 4, and the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit. Misamis Occidental to extend ₱4M calamity assistance to Earthquake-hit Cebu

  Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental — In response to the devastating magnitude 6.9 earthquake that struck Northern Cebu on September 30, 2025, the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental has committed to providing ₱4 million in much-needed financial aid to support the affected communities in Cebu. This commitment was announced during the joint stakeholders’ meeting of the Provincial Development Council (PDC) and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) held on October 10, 2025, at the Asenso Misamis Occidental Sports and Cultural Center. Under PDRRMC Resolution No. 8-2025, ₱4 million was authorized from the Quick Response Fund (QRF), part of the 5% Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund for 2025. Asenso Rice Farmers Full Assistance program empowers Misamisnon Farmers from land preparation to post-harvest

  MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL — The Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental, under the leadership of Governor Henry S. Oaminal, has extended full support to 14,018 validated farmers across the province, covering a total of 4,997.37 hectares of farmland. Through the Asenso Rice Farmers Full Assistance (ARFFA) Program, the province provides farmers with free tractors funded locally, in partnership with PhilMech. Under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Program, the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) distributed certified inbred rice seeds to ensure access to high-quality planting materials. To guarantee complete support for every hectare, the provincial government also augmented the fertilizer allocations provided by the Department of Agriculture (DA).
