Congressman Jason Almonte vows stronger, sincere public service in second term
Misamis Occidental — Re-elected
First District Representative Jason P. Almonte pledged to strengthen his public
service efforts as he officially began his second term during the 2025
Oath-Taking Ceremony.
In his message, Almonte thanked
the people of the First District for their continued trust. He emphasized that
the position he holds is not his alone, but one he serves as a steward of, on
behalf of his constituents.
He recognized the overwhelming
support he received, describing it as both an honor and a responsibility to
serve with urgency, transparency, and dedication.
Almonte also expressed gratitude
to his family for their support, mentioning his father, former Congressman
Jorge T. Almonte, his partner, former Board Member Ruvy Ala, and his children,
who he described as his motivation.
Looking back at his first term,
Almonte reported major accomplishments. He cited the increase in social service
funding from ₱5–10 million to ₱80–150 million per program, and nearly ₱7
billion worth of infrastructure projects, including flood control systems,
school drainage systems, the Bayfront Arena, and air-conditioned gyms in seven
municipalities.
He credited these achievements to
the unified leadership of the ASENSO Team, led by Governor Henry S. Oaminal.
“Gov. Henry brought us together under one direction ASENSO Misamis Occidental,”
Almonte said, noting how the alignment of leaders at all levels improved
program delivery.
In Congress, Almonte said he
never walked alone. He praised his colleague, Second District Representative
Sancho “Ando” Oaminal, whose dedication and hard work have been a consistent
source of support. “And now, we are even stronger,” he said, “with the ASENSO
Pinoy Party-list gaining a seat in Congress.” He welcomed Congressman Henry
“Indy” Oaminal, calling him a strong partner not for politics, but for
progress.
Almonte highlighted the
importance of coordination among national and local leaders, especially those
working directly in communities. “From barangay captains to SK chairs, we
delivered results as one team,” he said. “What we’ve built and improved in our
communities should speak for itself.”
With public expectations now
higher, Almonte ended by committing to further expand services and ensure
government programs reach every household. “This oath is not just a
requirement—it is a commitment to meet your trust with action,” he said. “Let’s
continue moving forward together under one vision ASENSO Misamis Occidental.”
