  Misamis Occidental ranked fifth out of 82 provinces in the country for per capita gross domestic product (GDP), achieving notable growth under the leadership of Governor Henry S. Oaminal. In 2023, the province's per capita GDP reached ₱199,106, surpassing the national average of ₱186,476.  This achievement underscores the significant economic progress made under Governor Oaminal's leadership, positioning Misamis Occidental as a top-performing province. According to the latest data from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Misamis Occidental was one of only six provinces to exceed the national average in per capita GDP.  This growth is a direct result of policies focused on sustainable development, attracting investment, and promoting innovation.
