Misamis Occidental continues to
advance development, disaster resilience, peace and order, and anti-drug

Meeting. Governor Henry Oaminal led discussions on critical programs, infrastructure
projects, security measures, and social services, ensuring a more progressive,
safe, and resilient province.
The Provincial Development
Council (PDC) tackled crucial projects, including the DSWD’s "Panahon sa
Pagkilos – PH Community Resilience Project" under KALAHI-CIDSS, the
endorsement of DPWH-proposed infrastructure projects, and the integration of
the Panalsalan-Cartagena-Luzaran-Dampalan-Macalibre Alto Farm-to-Market Road
(FMR) into the 2025 Annual Investment Program.
Meanwhile, the Provincial
Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) focused on enhancing
training for responders and strengthening disaster preparedness, while the
Provincial Solid Waste Management Board (PSWMB) proposed a cross-visit and validation
of sanitary landfills and residual containment areas for approval.
In the fight against illegal
drugs, the Misamis Occidental Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MOPADAC)
approved the reconstitution of the council, financial and technical assistance
for local anti-drug programs, and updates on barangay drug-clearing operations.
Security and peace efforts were
also strengthened as the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) highlighted
milestones in law enforcement, updated security deployment plans for the 2025
National and Local Elections, and approved the Asenso Misamisnon Drivers
Education Program (AMODEP) as part of the Peace and Order and Public Safety
(POPS) Plan.
The PPOC also provided updates on
E-CLIP implementation for former rebels and pushed for local ordinances against
Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Child Sexual Abuse
or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM).
