Misamis Occidental achieves 100% compliance in 2024 Good Financial Housekeeping
OROQUIETA CITY, Misamis
Occidental--In a remarkable demonstration of fiscal responsibility and
transparency, all local government units (LGUs) in Misamis Occidental have
secured the 2024 Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) Seal from the Department of
the Interior and Local Government (DILG). This marks the second consecutive
year that the province, including its three cities and 14 municipalities, has
achieved this distinction.
Governor Henry S. Oaminal
expressed immense pride in the accomplishment, emphasizing the collective
effort of local leaders in maintaining high standards of governance. "This
recognition highlights our commitment to transparency, accountability, and the
prudent management of public funds," he said.
The Good Financial Housekeeping certification
serves as concrete evidence of the diligent utilization and meticulous auditing
of public funds by the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental.
Under Governor Oaminal's
strategic leadership, Misamis Occidental has experienced significant
advancements in various sectors, including security, disaster resilience, and
economic growth. Notably, the province recently reported a 66.49% increase in
revenue, reflecting its evolving economic landscape.
The consecutive attainment of the
Good Financial Housekeeping Seal not only highlights the province's adherence
to the Full Disclosure Policy and Commission on Audit regulations but also
positions Misamis Occidental as a model of exemplary governance in the region.
As the province continues to
build on this momentum, the administration remains steadfast in its mission to
foster a culture of excellence, integrity, and public trust in all facets of
governance. (SN/PGMO)
