AFP, PNP, PGMO unite in historic agreement to strengthen security, peace, and stability in MisOcc
OROQUIETA CITY, Misamis
Occidental – In a significant step towards ensuring peace and security,
Governor Henry S. Oaminal, Vice Governor Rowena L. Gutierrez, along with
leaders from the Philippine Army and the Philippine National Police (PNP),
formalized their commitment to the province's future by signing the Tripartite
Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on Security, Peace and Order, Unity, and
Stability Efforts (SPOUSEs).
This strategic partnership,
involving Major General Gabriel C. Viray III of the 1st Infantry Division,
Police Brigadier General Jaygen C. De Guzman of PRO-10, LTC Nelson Q.
Boticario, Commanding Officer of the 10th Infantry Battalion, Misamis
Occidental Police Provincial Director PCOL Rommel B. Magleo, and other
high-ranking officials, represents a critical step in securing a safer, more
stable future for the province.
The agreement signifies the
collective commitment to ensuring the continuous stability and peace in Misamis
Occidental.
Major General Viray expressed
that the agreement reflects a shared vision for peace. "Today is a
testament to our shared commitment to turning peace and security into reality,
not just aspirations," he said. "This agreement symbolizes trust,
partnership, and mutual respect, fostering the stability that Misamis
Occidental deserves."
Governor Oaminal emphasized the
collaborative strength of the agreement. "This partnership unites the
Philippine Army, the PNP, and our local government—three pillars of security
and governance—working together to ensure peace and stability in our communities,"
he said.
The governor also stressed that
this agreement would protect the gains in maintaining an insurgency-free
province and help build a future where justice, law, and order prevail, aligned
with the national vision of Bagong Filipino, Bagong Pilipinas.
Governor Oaminal assured the
people of Misamis Occidental that the province would continue to thrive as a
safe and progressive community, with this partnership at its core.
Police Regional Office 10
Director PBGen Jaygen De Guzman reaffirmed the PNP’s commitment to ensuring the
security of the province. "We will intensify police operations, improve
monitoring, and strengthen our collaboration with the AFP and local government
to maintain Misamis Occidental as a safe and secure place for all," he
said.
This agreement marks the
beginning of a new chapter for Misamis Occidental—one where the combined
efforts of local government, military, and police will ensure that peace,
stability, and progress are continually upheld for the benefit of all.
