MisOcc prov’l school board OKs P55-M special educ fund for 2024
The Provincial School Board has approved the P55 million fund allocation for the special education program this year, ensuring the teaching and learning resources will be maximized. The approval of the Special Education Fund (SEF) stemmed from the board's commitment to enhancing the education system in the province. The board, headed by Governor Henry S. Oaminal, has earmarked the SEF allocation intended for various initiatives aimed at elevating the quality of education in the entire Misamis Occidental. There were allocations dedicated to strengthening teachers' capacities in integrating educational technology into teaching and learning processes. The PSB’s approval of the SEF also includes the modernization of teaching approaches, recognizing the importance of equipping educators with the necessary skills to navigate the digital landscape.
