A Day of Joy and Thanksgiving for Children at AMOR

Misamis Occidental—It was a day filled with joy and thanksgiving as children from the Asenso Misamis Occidental Refuge (AMOR) celebrated the end of the school year with a two-day therapeutic outing. This heartwarming event was made possible through the generosity of Governor Henry S. Oaminal, who provided the children with shopping funds for essential items such as clothes, bags, and sandals, along with funding for the entire two-day activity.

Brimming with excitement, the children were taken to the scenic resort of 1st District Congressman Jason Almonte. Known for its serene environment, the resort served as the perfect backdrop for the children to unwind and engage in various therapeutic activities designed to help them relax, rejuvenate, and build a sense of community and support among each other.

Governor Oaminal’s financial assistance was crucial in making this outing a reality. His commitment to the welfare of the children at AMOR highlights his dedication to the community and his understanding of the importance of holistic development for young minds. By providing for all their needs, Governor Oaminal ensured that the children could fully enjoy their outing without any worries.

During their stay at Congressman Almonte’s resort, the children participated in a range of therapeutic activities, including sessions that encouraged teamwork and communication. The tranquil setting of the resort provided the perfect environment for the children to connect with nature and experience a sense of peace and relaxation.

The two-day outing was not only a celebration of the hard-won medals and achievements of the school year but also a testament to the power of community support and its positive impact on young lives. The children will return to AMOR with renewed spirits, ready to face the future with confidence and hope. (Lorelei Cagas/PGMO)
