Misamis
Occidental—A total of 2,990 dedicated service providers in Ozamiz City were
honored through the Ayuda sa mga Ozamiznon para Asenso program. Each volunteer
received P3,000 in cash assistance, personally distributed by Cavite 1st
District Rep. Ramon “Jolo” Revilla III on behalf of Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. This
effort was a collaboration involving Mayor Indy Oaminal, MisOcc 2nd District
Rep. Ando Oaminal, Governor Henry S. Oaminal, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of
Ozamiz, and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Misamis Occidental. The initiative

of the Blessed Birhen sa Cotta.
Mayor Oaminal emphasized the crucial role of service providers in the community,
noting that these individuals deliver essential services, ensuring that even
when direct assistance is not possible, their efforts bring progress to the
barangays.
He also expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by Senator
Revilla, highlighting that the aid boosts the local economy as the funds are
spent within the community, benefiting small businesses.
"We
have not forgotten your hard work and dedication. Our friend, Senator Revilla,
recognizes this and ensures that during our Fiesta celebration, you are among
those who receive aid,’’ he shared.
During the
Fiesta celebrations, a total of P50 million in aid and allowances will be
distributed to various sectors.
Governor Oaminal stressed that this aid, in addition to infrastructure projects,
aims to help the people of Ozamiz prosper, recognizing the volunteers for their
efforts.
"You
are being recognized for your volunteer work, service, and efforts to bring
activities and services to the people in various barangays,’’ Gov. Oaminal shared.
Further
assistance will be distributed to farmers, fisherfolk, Persons with
Disabilities (PWDs), and the LGBTQ community on July 15 to 16, supplementing
other social services programs including free hospitalization, distribution of
agricultural inputs, road construction, and tourism development.
The local
government expressed gratitude to President Bongbong Marcos, House Speaker
Martin Romualdez, Senator Revilla, and MisOcc 2nd District Rep. Ando Oaminal
for their continued support in developing the province.
In his
video message, Senator Revilla thanked Governor Oaminal for his dedication to
the people of Misamis Occidental and pledged ongoing support for the province.
"Thank
you, Governor, for always taking care of us and helping our fellow citizens in
Misamis Occidental. I see how much you love your people, and my office is
always open to support your province. This is just the beginning, and I extend
my heartfelt thanks to all of you."
Jolo
Revilla also expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support his father
received in the last election.
Furthermore,
he informed the service providers that his father's work in the Senate led to
the passing of important laws. These laws include the Expanded Centenarians
Act, which gives financial benefits to elderly individuals, the prohibition of
the "No Permit, No Exam" policy, the permanent validity of civil
certificates, and the provision of a night shift differential pay for
government employees, among others. (SN/PGMO)
