Misamis Occidental, Philippines—One Asenso Misamis Occidental has emerged as the champion of the 2024 Northern Mindanao Regional Athletic Association (NMRAA) Paragames, securing an impressive 14 gold medals. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the team, highlighting their dedication, skill, and perseverance.

Among the standout performances was James Gabriel Cagang, an amputee athlete from One Asenso Misamis Occidental, who won 3 gold medals in swimming. Cagang’s remarkable resilience and determination serve as a powerful reminder of the incredible capabilities of differently-abled athletes, inspiring many with his victory.

The NMRAA Paragames brings together athletes from various provinces to compete in a range of sports, promoting inclusivity and celebrating the spirit of competition. This year, the games saw heightened enthusiasm and participation, with athletes showcasing their talents and breaking barriers.

Gov. Oaminal secures ₱60 million budget for OFOP program from Speaker Romualdez

OROQUIETA CITY, Misamis Occidental—Governor Henry S. Oaminal secured additional funding worth ₱60 million for the One Family, One Professional (OFOP) program and an additional ₱15 million for farmers during his visit to House Speaker Martin Romualdez in Manila.
