a recent assessment by the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index
(CMCI), Ozamiz City has been recognized as the second most improved local
government unit (LGU) among component cities nationwide.
This accolade underscores the
city's significant progress in enhancing its competitiveness, driven by the
dedicated efforts of Mayor Atty. Indy Oaminal and the Asenso Ozamiz
administration.
The CMCI evaluates cities and
municipalities based on four key pillars: Economic Dynamism, Government
Efficiency, Infrastructure, and Resiliency and Innovation.
Rankings are determined by the
total scores across these pillars, reflecting both the quality and completeness
of data submitted.
Ozamiz City's impressive
improvement score of +62 highlights its strategic advancements and the city's
growing role in national economic development.
This achievement not only marks a
significant milestone for Ozamiz but also demonstrates its commitment to
