This initiative, led by the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental under the strong and compassionate leadership of Governor Henry S. Oaminal, reinforces the province’s commitment to accessible education and long-term support for Misamisnon families.

Governor Oaminal shared that the OFOP Program was inspired by his personal journey as a working student—someone who struggled but persevered to complete his education. Now, as a public servant, he is determined to ensure that no young Misamisnon is left behind due to poverty.

Karon, third year college na ko sa Bachelor of Science in Technology and Livelihood Education, Major in Home Economics.

In response to strong demand, Governor Oaminal announced additional OFOP slots starting July 2025, including: 50 new slots each for Lopez Jaena, Baliangao, Sapang Dalaga, and Conception, 20 slots for Calamba Sacred Heart students, in coordination with the Catholic school, 30 slots per municipality for provincial colleges and 100 new slots each for Ozamiz and Tangub cities.

The Asenso Pamilya Program, a cornerstone of the province’s commitment to education and empowerment, offers grantees the opportunity to pursue either vocational or tertiary education. Each beneficiary receives a ₱5,000 monthly stipend, amounting to ₱25,000 per semester. (SN/PGMO)
