MisOcc Governor enhances management of healthcare services and facilities

Misamis Occidental---In a proactive move to enhance the healthcare system in the province, Under the visionary leadership of Working Governor Henry S. Oaminal, significant strides have been made in the enhancement of healthcare services and facilities across Misamis Occidental.

Governor Oaminal convened a meeting with the chiefs of five government hospitals: Misamis Occidental Provincial Hospital (MOPH), Dona Maria D. Tan Memorial Hospital (DMDTMH), Tangub City Memorial Hospital (TMH), Jimenez Memorial Community Hospital (JMCH), and Calamba District Hospital (CDH).

The focus of the discussion was on improving medicine and supply management, as well as upgrading facilities and equipment.

Governor Henry S. Oaminal's administration maintains a steadfast commitment to advancing and broadening healthcare services across the province.

“There is truly no reason to say that there are no medicines available because this week, five dump trucks arrived from Manila loaded with our medicine supply,’’ he said.

The governor saw the need to ensure that medicines and medical supplies would not run out at the medical facility. He emphasized that the patients should not be burdened by the lack of supplies in the hospitals.

To achieve this goal, guidelines are being developed to streamline the issuance and replenishment processes for drugs, medicines, laboratory reagents, medical supplies, and medical oxygen stored at the Provincial General Services Office (PGSO).

This innovation aims to ensure that resources are efficiently moved and made available where the actual needs arise at the proper time.

Meanwhile, the provincial government is upgrading the other Provincial Government into a Level 1 hospital for it to be considered as a tertiary hospital that can provide all kinds of healthcare services. This ensures the accessibility and availability of adequate services, facilities, doctors, and medical staff to the constituents.

Gov. Oaminal has ordered all Capitol-run hospitals to have a dialysis center for indigent patients in their respective areas in the province.

These efforts underscore Governor Oaminal's dedication to facilitating the efficient delivery of hospital services, ultimately benefiting the residents of Misamis Occidental.(SN/PGMO)
