PDEA Misamis Occidental seizes ₱115-million worth of shabu in region 10’s biggest drug haul

 


The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Misamis Occidental Provincial Office scored a major breakthrough in the fight against illegal drugs after confiscating more than ₱115 million worth of shabu, marking the biggest drug haul in the history of Region 10.

The operation was carried out by agents of PDEA Misamis Occidental and its Interdiction Unit, led by IA I Ralph Carlo L. Denoy under the supervision of IA V Elvis M. Taghoy Jr. They were joined by operatives from the PDEA Misamis Oriental Provincial Office, Misamis Oriental Airport and Seaport Interdiction Unit, Regional Enforcement Team, and the Philippine National Police (PNP) through its City Intelligence Unit, Cagayan de Oro Police Station 4, and the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit.

The buy-bust operation took place at Block 2, Lot 8, Phase 1, NHA, Kauswagan, Cagayan de Oro City, resulting in the arrest of suspects Rodis, RL Lestat Quilinguen, and Labucana, Junmar Lumpayao, also known as Alex.

Confiscated from the suspects were seven vacuum-sealed cellophane bags containing 17,119.98 grams of shabu, confirmed through Chemistry Report No. PDEA-R10-25-0098. Authorities also seized buy-bust money, two Android phones, a duffle bag, an SM paper bag, black plastic bags, and cling wrap materials.

Charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against the suspects.
