Misamis Occidental powers up emergency response with 71 rescue and patrol vehicles

Misamis Occidental — In a major step toward building safer and more resilient communities, the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental, through the Provincial General Services Office headed by Daisy Romero, distributed the fourth batch of 71 brand-new rescue and patrol vehicles to barangays across the province under the Asenso Misamis Occidental program.

The distribution covered 18 barangays in Oroquieta City, 12 in Tangub City, 13 in Jimenez, 4 in Lopez Jaena, 5 in Tudela, 9 in Plaridel, 4 in Baliangao, and 6 in Bonifacio.

“Having dedicated rescue vehicles stationed in our barangays ensures that we can respond quickly and effectively to save lives, deliver aid, and protect our people,” the provincial leadership emphasized.

Each vehicle serves as a crucial lifeline—ready to respond at a moment’s notice to emergencies, deliver critical assistance, and uphold peace and order.

Beyond emergency response, the vehicles will also enhance peacekeeping operations, support barangay services, and improve coordination during times of crisis.

The officials of Barangay Tugas in Baliangao expressed their heartfelt gratitude, acknowledging the dedication and passion of the provincial government in making this vital support possible.

“Thank you very much to the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental for granting us this rescue vehicle. It will be a tremendous help to our barangay, especially during emergencies,” said officials from Barangay Newlook in Plaridel.

This initiative highlights the province’s strong commitment to empowering barangays and ensuring that every Misamisnon is protected, supported, and served through a well-equipped and responsive local government network. (SN/PGMO)
