Governor Oaminal honors PNP bravery, commends drug operation success, pushes for safer MisOcc
Oroquieta City—Governor Henry
S. Oaminal led a recognition ceremony to honor the outstanding members of the
Philippine National Police (PNP) for their bravery and successful anti-drug
operations across Misamis Occidental.
Addressing Provincial Director
Police Colonel Rommel Magleo, along with PNP officials and personnel, Gov.
Oaminal commended the dedication and sacrifices of the men and women in uniform
in maintaining peace and order in the province.
“You are not just law
enforcers—you are protectors of our communities, defenders of our families, and
guardians of our future,” he said.
The awards served as a token of
appreciation for the officers' tireless efforts to keep Misamis Occidental safe
and drug-free.
“Your actions have helped save
lives, reclaim communities, and restore hope. Because of your hard work, our
province continues to rise—no longer among the poorest, but now one of the
fastest-growing economies in Mindanao,” the Governor proudly emphasized.
He noted that Misamis
Occidental’s rise to first-class provincial status would not have been possible
without the peace and stability ensured by the PNP. He also acknowledged the
police force's crucial role in the successful implementation of major provincial
events, including the 95th Provincial Anniversary, Palarong Pampook 2025, and
Pamaskong Handog.
Gov. Oaminal further urged the
PNP to remain steadfast in their sworn duties, underscoring the importance of
integrity, professionalism, and sincere public service.
“Our vision for Asenso Misamis
Occidental is rooted in peace, prosperity, and happiness. Let us continue
building a province where every Misamisnon can thrive in safety and dignity,”
he concluded.
The ceremony ended with heartfelt
applause as the province reaffirmed its full support for its modern-day heroes
in uniform. (SN/PGMO)
