Brgy. San Lorenzo Ruiz reaps progress with ₱100M road project under Cong. Ando Oaminal’s leadership

Sinacaban, Misamis Occidental – Brgy. San Lorenzo Ruiz, an upland barangay in Sinacaban, is now reaping the benefits of the P100 million road opening and concreting project, a promise fulfilled by Congressman Sancho Fernando “Ando” Oaminal. This infrastructure development ensures faster and safer transportation for residents and their agricultural products heading to the town center.

The project is a direct response to the request made by Brgy. Captain Jean Macan and the residents in 2023, during Congressman Ando’s visit for the groundbreaking of the Barangay Health Station.

In his post, Congressman Ando expressed his deep gratitude for the strong local leadership and support from Governor Henry S. Oaminal and Mayor Dello T. Lood, which helped address the community’s transportation challenges.

According to Congressman Ando, the newly improved road will not only facilitate better connectivity but also boost the barangay’s tourism potential. With its breathtaking overlooking views and cool natural climate, San Lorenzo Ruiz is positioned to attract more visitors.

Next month, the construction of the remaining 12-kilometer road section will begin, marking the final phase of upgrading the longest and most remote unpaved road in Sinacaban. This effort is part of a larger initiative to pave all roads within the district, ensuring better accessibility and creating new opportunities for residents.

“We continue to serve and improve the infrastructure in our district. Good roads lead to better lives for everyone,’’ Congressman Ando said.

The residents of Brgy. San Lorenzo Ruiz are overjoyed, as this road project promises to bring significant improvements to their lives and contribute to the overall development of their community. (SN/PGMO)
