MisOcc provincial gov’t, DSWD extends swift aid to fire victims in Sapang Dalaga
SAPANG DALAGA, Misamis Occidental—The Provincial Government
of Misamis Occidental, led by Governor Henry S. Oaminal, in partnership with
the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), provided immediate
assistance to families affected by the devastating fire on August 20 in
Poblacion, Sampaguita 1, Sapang Dalaga town.
Eleven families whose homes were completely destroyed
received P20,000 each, while three families with partially damaged homes were
given P15,000 each.
The provincial government also distributed relief goods,
including 25 kilos of rice, mineral water, and assorted canned goods.
In addition to the provincial and local government
assistance, the DSWD provided family food packs and hygiene kits to those whose
homes were entirely burned down.
Board Member Tata Paylaga-Lim and Mayor Donjie Animas,
alongside the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), acted
swiftly to ensure that aid reached every affected family.
The prompt response showcases Governor Oaminal’s unwavering
commitment to supporting his constituents during difficult times.
One of the beneficiaries, Angela Mag-abo, expressed her
gratitude for the timely assistance.

mga naapektuhan sa sunog," she said.
