Aimee Marcos, Gov. Oaminal unite to empower communities through education, technology, and sustainability
MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL—In a
collaborative effort to drive progress in Misamis Occidental, Presidential
sister Aimee R. Marcos joined forces with Governor Henry S. Oaminal to discuss initiatives focused on enhancing education, technology, and
sustainable practices within local communities.
During her visit, Marcos
introduced the Localized Accessible Knowledge and Inclusive Platform (LAKIP), a
visionary project aimed at closing educational gaps by leveraging local
languages to make learning more accessible and culturally relevant.
"This is a crucial step in developing
what the community truly needs," Marcos emphasized. "We are committed
to implementing LAKIP across Ozamiz and the entire province of Misamis
Occidental."
In addition to LAKIP, Marcos
highlighted innovative solutions like Mec Clearwaste, a sustainable alternative
for waste management, as well as the introduction of solar panels to provide
renewable energy.
She also presented Farm Connect's
data-driven satellite connectivity, which promises to revolutionize
agricultural practices by linking farmers to essential resources.
Governor Oaminal expressed strong
support for these initiatives, recognizing their potential to drive significant
positive change in the province.
This collaboration between Marcos
and the provincial government underscores a shared commitment to empowering
communities through education, technology, and sustainability, paving the way
