PNP, PGMO unite to strengthen security in MisOcc

 

Misamis Occidental---The Philippine National Police in Misamis Occidental, led by Acting Provincial Director PCol Rommel B. Magleo, held a crucial first Command Conference presided over by Governor Henry S. Oaminal.

The Governor’s presence underscores his unwavering support for the police force, which greatly values his guidance in their efforts to maintain peace and order and intensify actions against illegal activities, ensuring a safer community for all residents.

Magleo assured that in the coming days, they will intensify their efforts against illegal drugs, gambling, illegal possession of firearms, and all forms of criminality through increased police visibility, patrols, checkpoints, and focused law enforcement operations.

“As the head of the PNP command of this PPO, my primary responsibility is to ensure that our police officers are effectively performing their duties in accordance with our mandate and mission. Here, we strive to align ourselves with the province’s vision and aspiration, which is reflected in its motto: the 5Ms of Misamis Occidental—‘Misamisnon, Magpuyong Malinawon, Malambuon ug Malipayon,’” he emphasized.

The briefing presentation highlighted operational accomplishments, crime situation updates, threat assessments, and drug situations. The entire police force of MisOcc PPO remains vigilant, ensuring they are prepared for the enormous task and immense responsibility before them.

“Under my watch, we will continue to uphold the rule of law and perform our duties with integrity. We commit to serve the public with utmost dedication and professionalism,” Magleo added.

Governor Oaminal said that today’s command conference provides a venue and an opportunity to be updated on various PNP efforts in maintaining the province's peace and order, particularly operational accomplishments, crime situation threat assessment, and drug situation, as well as various issues and concerns that need to be addressed.

He emphasized that this command conference is not just an occasion to assess accomplishments and address challenges but also a time to reaffirm the commitment to ensuring peace and order in the province.

“With this conference, we can discuss these important matters and strengthen our unified efforts so that we will be in one direction in all our endeavors in making our province safe and secure as we gear towards the achievement of our vision of Asenso Misamis Occidental, making every Misamisnon live peacefully, progressively, and happily,” he concluded.
