This aid was distributed through the 'Ayuda sa
mga Ozamiznon para Asenso' program, supporting vulnerable and marginalized
communities, including fisherfolk, during the 76th Charter Anniversary and

assist the fisherfolk.
In his message,
Mayor Oaminal emphasized the importance of the program, noting that it was
created in response to challenging times marked by rising prices and various
global events. He expressed gratitude to national leaders and representatives
for their efforts in making this initiative possible.
"We extend our gratitude to President
Ferdinand Marcos, represented today by the DSWD Angels in Red Vest, Speaker
Martin Romualdez, and Rep. Sancho Fernando Oaminal. We also thank our
congressional leaders for securing the necessary budget and funding to support
these initiatives, especially for our beloved fisherfolk," he said.
Governor
Henry Oaminal highlighted the collaborative efforts behind the program, saying
that the funds distributed are the result of hard work by Congressman Ando and
himself. Thanks to the support from Speaker Martin Romualdez, significant funds
were allocated to the DSWD, now being distributed through the Ayuda sa Kapus
ang Kita Program (AKAP).

Oaminal also commended the dedication of the fisherfolk sector, emphasizing
that their hard work and cooperation are vital for community progress.
