Bringing public services directly to communities: Gov. Oaminal helps vulnerable sectors in MisOcc
Misamis
Occidental—Under the leadership of Team Asenso,
significant attention, and recognition have been given to all sectors of the
community, especially Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
As part of ongoing efforts to bring public
services directly to those in need, Governor Henry Oaminal, alongside City
Mayor Indy Oaminal, 2nd District Rep. Ando Oaminal, local and other government officials,
personally provided additional support to thousands of struggling residents
from vulnerable sectors, including PWDs, on July 15 at the Barangay Aguda
Covered Court in Ozamiz during the “Ayuda sa mga Ozamiznon para Asenso” event.
Governor
Oaminal announced that, for the first time, PWDs would receive cash
assistance of PHP 3,000, demonstrating the administration's commitment to
supporting PWDs, particularly those facing significant economic hardships.
He
expressed gratitude for the community's support, emphasizing that this
assistance reflects the unity and mutual support within the community.
"This
initiative aligns with Team Asenso's vision of progress for Ozamiz and Misamis
Occidental, aiming to ensure peace, prosperity, and happiness for all
residents," said Governor Oaminal.
Mayor Indy
Oaminal shared that over PHP 50 million in aid has been distributed to various
sectors in preparation for the city’s Fiesta and 76th Charter
Anniversary since July 1.
"This
fund allocation is intended to enable everyone to participate meaningfully in
the Fiesta," he said.
Mayor
Oaminal emphasized that the goal for this Fiesta is to ensure that every sector
in the city feels supported and has the means to celebrate.
Additionally,
Team Asenso has started providing PHP 3,000 to service providers, fisherfolk,
LGBTQIA+ purok presidents in Ozamiz City, and plans to distribute this
assistance to other cities and municipalities in the province.(SN/PGMO)
