Gov. Oaminal bolsters 903rd Battalion to maintain peace and order in MisOcc
SINACABAN,
Misamis Occidental—In a significant move to enhance peace and order in the
province, Misamis Occidental Governor Henry S. Oaminal prioritized a meeting
with the officers and members of the 903rd Ready Reserve Battalion on Sunday,
June 9, at Camp Dominguez in Libertad Bajo, Sinacaban town. This initiative
aims to address pertinent issues and concerns while strengthening the battalion's
membership and readiness.
During the
officers' meeting and company mastering, the 903rd Infantry Battalion Commander
and Governor Oaminal outlined the battalion's direction, plans, and programs,
emphasizing their unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and order in the
province. He also discussed the current strength and programs for the 3rd and
4th quarters of this year, stressing the battalion’s readiness to assist during
crises and emergencies.
He proposed
forming a dedicated disaster response platoon and directed company commanders
to find and recruit qualified members within the next two months to complete
the full strength of four platoons. Governor Oaminal encouraged reservists to
recruit qualified individuals, particularly ROTC and Basic Citizen Military
Training (BCMT) graduates with serial numbers, to join the 903rd Ready Reserve
Battalion.
"We
will form a disaster response platoon. Interested individuals should register
immediately with their company commander," Oaminal said.
In addition
to bolstering personnel, Governor Oaminal promised allowances from the
Provincial Government and emphasized, “Your dedication to serve in the reserve
force will be inspired by the support of the provincial government.”
Expressing
his satisfaction with the renewed enthusiasm in the reservist program, Oaminal
highlighted its significance to the local vision of "Asenso Misamis
Occidental." He remarked, “The progress of our province is evident in the
lives of our people as we strive for a peaceful, prosperous, and happy
Misamisnon community.”
The
governor also committed to providing and allocating a budget for training,
ensuring the battalion officers are well-equipped for their roles. His
proactive leadership and strategic direction underscore his dedication to the
safety and security of the community, reinforcing the vital role of the 903rd
