7 Centenarians in MisOcc receive ₱200,000 to ₱300,000 cash incentive each

 


Misamis Occidental--Seven centenarians from Conception, Tangub City, Sapang Dalaga, Bonifacio, Ozamiz City, and Clarin town were recently honored by the provincial government, led by Vice Governor Rowena Gutierrez, for their remarkable longevity.

Governor Henry Oaminal initiated this program to celebrate their lives and provide them with the financial support they deserve.

Each centenarian received a certificate of the Centenarian Award and a cash reward of ₱100,000 from the provincial government through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), headed by Lorellie J. Yee, along with an additional ₱100,000 gift from the national government through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), totaling ₱200,000 in cash gifts held at the Governor’s Office in Capitol on Thursday, May 31, 2024.

In Ozamiz City, Mayor Indy Oaminal, represented by Vice Mayor Simplicia “Bebie” Neri, along with councilors and the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), also paid tribute to the extraordinary lives of two centenarians in Ozamiz City.

With the unwavering generosity of Ozamiz Mayor Indy Oaminal, Governor Henry Oaminal, and President Bongbong Marcos, they provided cash incentives totaling ₱300,000 each, along with certificates of recognition, to the deserving families. The incentives were delivered at their homes.

Meanwhile, in Barangay Dela Paz, Clarin, another centenarian was celebrated with a heartwarming tribute. Through the benevolent efforts of the Provincial Government and the DSWD, a total of ₱200,000 in cash gifts was bestowed upon this esteemed individual on Friday, May 31, 2024.

The cash gifts are intended to show appreciation and respect for the centenarians’ contributions to the province and the country’s development, as well as to help with their needs as they grow older. (SN/PGMO)
