PBBM allocates P24.3 million assistance to Misamis Occidental
ILIGAN CITY—President Bongbong Marcos has extended vital
assistance to Misamis Occidental, handing over a substantial amount of P24.3
million to aid the province amidst the challenges it faces. The assistance,
distributed during a ceremony held at the Mindanao State University-Iligan
Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) in Iligan City on May 16, 2024, aims to
support affected farmers, fisherfolk, and families in the region.
In attendance was Governor Henry S. Oaminal, who graciously
accepted the assistance on behalf of the province. The aid included financial
support amounting to PHP 10,000 for select beneficiaries in Misamis Occidental.
Expressing gratitude for the President's concern and
support, Governor Oaminal emphasized the significance of the assistance,
particularly in light of recent challenges such as the shear line calamity. He
underscored Misamis Occidental's commitment to progress and prosperity, echoing
the province's vision of "Asenso Misamis Occidental; Misamisnon Magpuyong
Malinawon, Malambuon ug Malipayon."
President Marcos reiterated his administration's commitment
to ensuring that no Filipino is left behind, affirming that the government will
continue to provide comprehensive assistance and support to provinces across
the nation.
This generous allocation is part of a nationwide initiative
aimed at addressing the needs of communities and promoting inclusive growth and
