OROQUIETA CITY, Misamis Occidental—Beneficiaries of the
Asenso Pamilya: One Family, One Professional (OFOP) program have expressed
their heartfelt gratitude for the educational assistance provided by Governor
Henry Oaminal. This initiative has significantly impacted the lives of students
across Misamis Occidental, ensuring they can pursue their education without the
burden of financial constraints.
Mike Laurence Terez, an education student from Cebu Normal
University, highlighted the generosity and inclusivity of the program.
"Among all the scholarships I have availed of, this program is incredibly
generous as it doesn't set grade standards, which makes it a huge help,"
said Terez. "I'm very thankful to Governor Henry Oaminal, and I hope for
his safety and the success of all his projects for the Misamisnons."
Terez also shared his personal commitment to excellence:
"I maintain good grades to graduate with flying colors. This is my way of
showing that I deserve this opportunity. I aim to contribute to MisOcc as a
professional teacher someday."
Similarly, Vincent Villahermosa, a fourth-year AB-English
student at Jose Rizal Memorial State University in Dapitan City, emphasized the
necessity of cash assistance to cover various school-related expenses.
"Through Governor Oaminal's One Family, One Professional (OFOP) program,
we received significant help in paying for our boarding house and other needs.
This program has had a tremendous impact on us as students," he said.
"Thank you very much for this educational assistance. We are very grateful
to be part of this program."
Governor Henry Oaminal, who led the distribution of the
educational allowances, urged the grantees to help sustain the program.
"You are our inspiration. We encourage you to excel and study hard to
achieve success because your success also inspires us to do more," he
said.
He also emphasized the ongoing efforts of the provincial
government to enhance the quality of life and education in the province,
ensuring that more students can benefit from such initiatives in the future.
