MisOcc gov’t empowers PWDs where “No One is Left Behind”

 


OROQUIETA CITY, Misamis Occidental—The provincial government of Misamis Occidental, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - Misamis Occidental, organized a seminar on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and consumer rights and privileges for officials of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the province at the Asenso Misamis Occidental Sports and Cultural Center on May 3, 2024.Top of Form

Working Governor Henry S. Oaminal attended the seminar, wants to empower Persons with Disabilities towards a sustainable future where No One is Left Behind.”

The governor emphasized the importance of inclusivity in achieving the vision of Asenso Misamis Occidental. He highlighted the valuable contribution of every member of society, including those with disabilities, towards the province's progress.

"Our Asenso vision is inclusive, and we value the contribution of every member of society regardless of their social or physical status," he stated.

Governor Oaminal reiterated that disability should not hinder success, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and hard work. "We value you as our partners in achieving our Asenso Misamis Occidental vision, so that every Misamisnon, regardless of physical condition, can live peacefully, progressively, and happily," he added.

He expressed his commitment as governor to ensure that every individual in the province, irrespective of ability or circumstance, is given the opportunity to thrive and contribute to collective prosperity.

The seminar aimed to empower persons with disabilities by enhancing their entrepreneurial skills through financial literacy while also educating them about their rights and privileges as consumers.(SN/PGMO)
