MisOcc LGU empowers abuse survivors to excel in school

OROQUIETA CITY, Misamis Occidental — Demonstrating a profound commitment to the welfare of abuse survivors, the Misamis Occidental Provincial Government's robust support system has led to remarkable academic achievements among these resilient children.

Through a comprehensive approach encompassing educational, therapeutic, and basic needs support, the government has created an environment conducive to academic success for children who have endured traumatic experiences.

The provincial government's initiative includes a wide range of provisions aimed at addressing the diverse needs of abuse survivors. Educational support takes precedence, with the provision of essential tools such as daily allowances, computers, and mentoring.

Moreover, the government provides school supplies, including bags, shoes, P.E., and school uniforms, as well as funding for school projects and other necessities, fostering a sense of belonging and equality among students.

Misamis Occidental Governor Henry S. Oaminal expressed pride in the achievements of abuse survivors and reaffirmed the government's unwavering commitment to supporting their journey toward academic excellence.

"Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive academically, regardless of past experiences. Through our comprehensive assistance program, we are empowering abuse survivors to reclaim their futures and fulfill their potential," stated Governor Oaminal.

As the Provincial Government continues to advocate for the rights and well-being of vulnerable children, the success stories of abuse survivors serve as a beacon of hope, inspiring communities to come together in support of those in need and reaffirming the transformative power of compassion and assistance.
