Asenso Pinoy’s Grand Proclamation Rally: A Vision for Progress and Unity in Misamis Occidental

Misamis Occidental– In a powerful display of unity and hope for the future, Governor Henry Oaminal delivered an inspiring and heartfelt speech during the Asenso Pinoy Grand Proclamation Rally. The event, which marked a historic moment for the province, brought together thousands of passionate supporters and served as a platform for Governor Oaminal to reflect on the province’s journey of progress and unity. In his speech, the Governor reaffirmed his commitment to continue working toward a more prosperous, peaceful, and thriving Misamisnon community.

A Vision of Progress and Unity

Governor Oaminal began by expressing profound gratitude to the people of Misamis Occidental for their steadfast support, emphasizing the collective vision of the province: “Asenso Misamis Occidental – a place where every Misamisnon can live peacefully, progressively, and happily.”

He highlighted the core values that have guided his administration—Matinahuron (respectful), Matinud-anon (dedicated), Mahinatagon (generous), and Mahigugmaon (loving)—which, he noted, have shaped every policy and initiative under his leadership. Governor Oaminal recognized the crucial role of every citizen as a partner in the province's growth and transformation, acknowledging them as active contributors to the shared vision of progress.

Achievements and Continued Commitment to Public Service

Reflecting on the significant achievements of his administration, Governor Oaminal pointed to remarkable improvements in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and social services. As both former Congressman and current Governor, he shared how Misamis Occidental has not only invested in key infrastructure but also prioritized the welfare of its people.

Among his proudest accomplishments were multi-billion-peso infrastructure projects, including the upgrading of roads, multipurpose facilities, and improvements to airports and seaports. He emphasized that these investments were not merely in physical infrastructure but also in the province’s long-term future.

The Governor also highlighted vital social programs, such as the Free Hospitalization Program, which has benefitted over 100,000 individuals, and the Asenso Medical Center, which is on track to increase its capacity, with 80% of construction completed. He also underscored the impact of the One Family, One Professional Program, which has supported more than 6,000 youth through financial assistance for higher education.

A Focus on Agriculture, Public Safety, and Tourism

Governor Oaminal acknowledged the vital role of agriculture in the province’s economy and introduced the Asenso Rice Farmers Full Assistance Program, which provides free seeds and fertilizers to rice farmers, ensuring better yields and improved livelihoods. The program has already yielded impressive results, with the province's average rice yield surpassing the national average.

Public safety was another major focus of the Governor’s address. He revealed that 350 rescue and patrol vehicles had been distributed to barangays to enhance emergency response capabilities. Plans are also in place to distribute additional vehicles by June 2025, ensuring that all communities are well-prepared in times of crisis.

Governor Oaminal also took pride in the province’s flourishing tourism industry, spotlighting projects like Asenso Global Gardens and the Asenso Misamis Occidental Resort and Aquamarine Park. These initiatives have attracted both local and international visitors, and the Governor’s continued commitment to expanding tourism infrastructure aims to position Misamis Occidental as a premier destination for travelers, boosting the local economy in the process.

Tangible Achievements and National Recognition

Under Governor Oaminal’s leadership, Misamis Occidental has seen remarkable progress in various areas. The province has successfully been removed from the list of the top 10 poorest provinces in the Philippines. Additionally, it has been declared insurgency-free and has garnered national recognition for excellence in disaster risk reduction, winning the prestigious Gawad Kalasag Award.

The province’s local revenue has grown substantially, placing it among the top five in the country. Governor Oaminal expressed his pride in the recognition of Misamis Occidental as one of the Top 10 Fastest-Growing Economies in Mindanao, a testament to the province’s expanding economic influence and growing opportunities for its citizens.

Looking Ahead: A Call for Unity and Continued Progress

Looking to the future, Governor Oaminal called for continued unity among the people of Misamis Occidental. With the upcoming elections on the horizon, he urged voters to continue supporting the Asenso Pinoy Partylist and the candidates who uphold its values of progress, unity, and service.

He also expressed his gratitude to political leaders, including Senators Imee Marcos, Francis Tolentino, Pia Cayetano, and Bong Go, whose contributions have been instrumental in securing resources for infrastructure, healthcare, and public welfare projects in the province.

A Vision for the Future

As the rally concluded, Governor Oaminal reaffirmed his dedication to the people of Misamis Occidental. He urged every Misamisnon to remain united in the pursuit of a more progressive and inclusive future, reminding them that the success of the Asenso Misamis Occidental vision belongs to each citizen who has believed in it.

In his closing remarks, the Governor urged voters to support not only the Asenso Pinoy Partylist but also the local candidates who share the values of progress, unity, and service. “The road ahead will not be easy,” Oaminal concluded, “but with your support, there is nothing we cannot achieve. Together, we will continue to push for Asenso—for a brighter future for Misamis Occidental and the entire Philippines.”
