The Governor also highlighted vital social programs, such as the Free Hospitalization Program, which has benefitted over 100,000 individuals, and the Asenso Medical Center, which is on track to increase its capacity, with 80% of construction completed. He also underscored the impact of the One Family, One Professional Program, which has supported more than 6,000 youth through financial assistance for higher education.

Governor Oaminal acknowledged the vital role of agriculture in the province’s economy and introduced the Asenso Rice Farmers Full Assistance Program, which provides free seeds and fertilizers to rice farmers, ensuring better yields and improved livelihoods. Public safety was another major focus of the Governor’s address. He revealed that 350 rescue and patrol vehicles had been distributed to barangays to enhance emergency response capabilities. Plans are also in place to distribute additional vehicles by June 2025, ensuring that all communities are well-prepared in times of crisis.

Governor Oaminal also took pride in the province’s flourishing tourism industry, spotlighting projects like Asenso Global Gardens and the Asenso Misamis Occidental Resort and Aquamarine Park. The province’s local revenue has grown substantially, placing it among the top five in the country. Governor Oaminal expressed his pride in the recognition of Misamis Occidental as one of the Top 10 Fastest-Growing Economies in Mindanao, a testament to the province’s expanding economic influence and growing opportunities for its citizens.
