Misamis Occidental hosts grand and unforgettable NMRAA 2025 governor’s night

 


Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental – The Northern Mindanao Regional Athletic Association (NMRAA) 2025 officially kicked off with a spectacular Governor’s Night, marking the province’s world-class hosting of this prestigious sporting event.

Governor Henry S. Oaminal welcomed esteemed guests, including Dr. Malcom S. Garma, Undersecretary for Operations and Secretary General of Palarong Pambansa; Congressman Jason P. Almonte (1st District, Misamis Occidental); Vice Governor Rowena L. Gutierrez and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan; city and municipal mayors from across Region 10; Assistant Regional Director Dr. Federico P. Martin; DepEd officials; and other distinguished leaders.

A Night of Unity, Celebration, and Sportsmanship

Governor Oaminal emphasized that NMRAA 2025 is more than just a sporting competition—it is a platform for youth empowerment, collaboration, and regional unity. He recognized the unwavering support of DepEd officials, local leaders, and stakeholders in shaping the future of young athletes.

"We may come from different places, but tonight, we stand united with one goal: to provide our youth with opportunities for growth, achievement, and character building through sports," he declared.

The Governor also highlighted the province’s extensive preparations to ensure that NMRAA 2025 sets a new benchmark in hosting excellence. From upgraded sports facilities to seamless event organization, Misamis Occidental is showcasing its commitment to providing the best experience for athletes, coaches, and visitors.

Exciting Surprises and Grand Prizes

To add excitement to the night, interactive games, dance contests, and a thrilling raffle draw were prepared, featuring cash prizes and high-end gadgets. A total of 20 winners received ₱5,000 each, while 10 winners took home ₱10,000 each. Another 5 winners won ₱20,000 each. Adding to the excitement, two lucky participants won iPhone 16 Pro Max (256GB) units, while one winner took home an iPhone 16 Pro Max (1TB). The highlight of the evening was the grand prize of ₱200,000, making the Governor’s Night truly unforgettable.
