Mayor Indy Oaminal provides ₱16.8M in free healthcare, funeral aid for Ozamiznons
OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental–
True to the commitment of Asenso Misamis Occidental to provide accessible
healthcare and social support, Mayor Henry "Indy" Oaminal reported
the significant impact of the city's Free Hospitalization and Funeral Services
Program in the last quarter of 2024.
During this period, the local
government assisted 679 Ozamiznon patients, shouldering their hospital bills
amounting to ₱15,268,672.2. Additionally, 138 families who lost their loved
ones received free funeral assistance, with a total financial aid of
₱1,591,800.
“These flagship programs, first
introduced by Second District Representative Sancho Fernando “Ando” Oaminal
during his tenure as Ozamiz City mayor, have been expanded under the leadership
of Governor Henry S. Oaminal to benefit the entire district and province,” he
said.
Now, thousands of Misamisnons
have access to free healthcare and dignified funeral services, easing the
financial burden on families during their most difficult times.
Mayor Oaminal also shared
exciting news: through Asenso Pinoy, the initiative will soon extend beyond the
province, allowing Ozamiznons and Misamisnons living outside Misamis Occidental
to avail of the same essential services.
With Asenso Misamis Occidental's
commitment to peace, progress, and prosperity, these life-changing programs
continue to uplift the lives of Ozamiznons and Misamisnons. (SN/PGMO)
