PBBM awards land titles to ARBs in Northern Mindanao, 396 titles allocated in MisOcc to boosts livelihoods

 


OROQUIETA CITY, Misamis Occidental— President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and government officials spearheaded the turn-over of 2,566 land titles covering 3,009.57 hectares of agricultural land to 2,857 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Northern Mindanao on July 5.

The event, held at the Mindanao Civic Center (MCC) Gymnasium in Tubod, Lanao del Norte, was attended by Misamis Occidental Governor Henry S. Oaminal, underscoring its importance. Notably, MisOcc province received 396 titles, encompassing 484.56 hectares, benefiting 392 ARBs.

In addition to Misamis Occidental, the land title distribution in Northern Mindanao included 1,344 titles for 1,039.66 hectares of agricultural land to 1,559 ARBs in Bukidnon, 12 titles for 3.64 hectares to 11 ARBs in Camiguin, 670 titles for 1,300.38 hectares to 649 ARBs in Lanao del Norte, and 144 titles for 181.35 hectares to 246 ARBs in Misamis Oriental, further reinforcing agricultural development across the region.

During the event, the Chief Executive awarded a total of PhP85 million in financial assistance to ARBs. Additionally, President Marcos provided PhP10,000 in financial assistance to each of 1,760 ARBs in Northern Mindanao and PhP10,000 each to 6,745 non-ARB recipients from Lanao del Norte under the Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita (AKAP) Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

President Marcos reaffirmed his commitment to advancing agrarian reform, emphasizing its role in granting land titles and providing ongoing support crucial for farmers.

“Sa mga minamahal kong magsasaka, narito kami upang personal na ipamahagi ang mga titulo ng lupa at iba pang tulong at serbisyo para po sa inyo. Ito ay katuparan ng aming pangako na suyurin ang buong bansa—ang bawat lalawigan—upang palakasin ang hanay ng ating mga magsasaka,” he said.

DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III emphasized that these Certificates of Land Ownership Awards (CLOAs) guarantee the ARBs’ rights to possess and access land resources, which is crucial for advancing rural development and fostering economic prosperity.

The initiative also included the issuance of 1,522 CLOAs and 1,044 electronic titles (e-titles) under the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) project. This effort aims to enhance property rights clarity and boost productivity and investment opportunities for ARBs.

Governor Oaminal and the agrarian reform beneficiaries in Misamis Occidental expressed their gratitude to President Marcos for his continuous support of the province.

President Marcos was accompanied by key officials, including DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III, DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos, DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, Special Assistant to the President Antonio Lagdameo Jr., Gov. Henry S. Oaminal, Gov. Imelda Dimaporo, Bukidnon Gov. Rogelio Neil Roque, Cong. Bambi Emano, former Lanao del Norte Governor and Congressman Abdullah Dimaporo, 1st District LDN Rep.
