One MisOcc dominates NMRAA 2024 dancesport competition, qualifies for Palarong Pambansa
CAMIGUIN — The One Asenso Misamis
Occidental DanceSport athletes showcased their exceptional talent and
dedication at the Northern Mindanao Regional Athletic Association (NMRAA)
Dancesports competition, held at the Provincial Function Hall, Camiguin on May
15. With outstanding performances, they not only brought pride to the province
but also secured their spots in the upcoming Palarong Pambansa.
In the Juvenile Standard
Category, pairs Marielle G. Regalado and Prince Carl S. Rockwell from Aloran
Central School clinched an impressive six (6) gold medals. Similarly, Franessa
Denise O. Cenita and Ian Mcleonard G. Ramo from Aloran Trade National High
School secured five (5) golds and one (1) silver in the Junior standard
category, showcasing the region's dominance in dancesports.
Adding to the triumph, Myrrh Bien
M. Bandala and Xyrus Nico Caimor from Aloran Central School mesmerized the
audience in the Juvenile Latin Category, earning three (3) golds, two (2)
silvers, and one (1) bronze. They, too, qualified for the Palarong Pambansa.
In the Junior Latin Category,
Nicelyn Revelo and Deben Lauro from Clarin National High School contributed to
the province's success by earning one (1) silver and five (5) bronze medals.
Competing alongside
representatives from seven provinces in the region 10, including Bukidnon, Misamis
Oriental, Cagayan De Oro City, Camiguin, Iligan City, and Lanao Del Norte, the
Misamis Occidental contingent added vibrancy and diversity to the competition.
Accompanied by chaperons and
coaches Marivic Caylo, Jonnel Caulawan, Mercy Bandiala, Angelica Marvie
Gundayao, and team manager Luzviminda Tactacon, the One Asenso MisOcc
dancesports team exemplified professionalism, dedication, and excellence,

gold medals, the One Asenso MisOcc dancesport athletes have proven their
