Governor Oaminal receives best stakeholder recognition from Army

 


LABANGAN, Zamboanga del Sur---Misamis Occidental Governor Henry S. Oaminal was honored by the Philippine Army for his "valuable and unending support" in helping the Army secure peace in the province and region.

In recognition of Governor Oaminal’s exceptional support and collaboration with the Philippine Army, he received the Best Stakeholder Awardee, which was presented to him by Commanding General of the Philippine Army Lt. General Roy M. Galido during the 88th Anniversary of the 1st Infantry "Tabak" Division, Philippine Army held at the 1ID Tabak Division Headquarters, Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur on May 7, 2024.

Governor Oaminal’s notable contributions include providing significant cash assistance to former rebels, resulting in surrenders among the members of Guerilla Front Sendong in the hinterlands of Misamis Occidental, enabling them to begin new chapters in their lives. His efforts have played a key role in the reintegration process of these individuals, supporting their return to society and the workforce, and aiding the Army in achieving its mission of promoting peace and stability.

During the ceremony, Lt. General Galido expressed his gratitude over Oaminal’s invaluable partnership, stating, “Governor Oaminal’s commitment to assisting our former rebels in their transition has been instrumental in strengthening our peace efforts. His dedication not only aids the former rebels but also contributes significantly to the overall safety and security of the region.”

Governor Oaminal expressed his appreciation for the award, acknowledging the importance of collaborative efforts between government agencies and stakeholders in achieving long-lasting peace and development in the region.

  CAMIGUIN— The Northern Mindanao Regional Athletic Association (NMRAA) 2024 has officially opened in Camiguin, with the Misamis Occidental delegation in full force, ready to compete and excel in various sporting events.
