Gov. Oaminal's unwavering support boosts MisOcc athletes at NMRAA 2024

 


CAMIGUIN —Governor Henry S. Oaminal's comprehensive support for the One Asenso Misamis Occidental athletes at the Northern Mindanao Regional Athletic Association (NMRAA) 2024 Meet was described as "swabe" and "excellent," ensuring the athletes had everything they needed to succeed. This unprecedented level of support, even for seasoned participants, significantly contributed to the high spirits and motivation of the athletes and coaches alike.

“Dasig kaayo ang mga bata apil ang mga coaches kay kung wala pa ang todo suporta sa atoang gobernador, dili ma-realize ang mga training ug kadaugan. High morale ang atong mga bata ug boosted sila ug ayo tungod sa suporta sa provincial government pinaagi ni governor. Kung wala pa na, moresulta man gud na nga low self-esteem ang mga bata, pero kay nakita sa mga bata nga grabe ang suporta—sa transportation lang daan makita nimo nga hanep gyud ang suporta,” shared Johngie Yorong Docor, a volleyball trainer, reflecting the collective sentiment of the team.

The NMRAA 2024 Meet not only showcased the athletic prowess of Misamis Occidental but also demonstrated the province's strong community spirit and commitment to nurturing young talent. The support from the provincial government and Governor Oaminal ensured that the athletes could compete at their best, bringing pride and honor to Misamis Occidental.

Governor Oaminal's unwavering support played a crucial role in the athletes' success. From providing training materials, accommodation, and food to ensuring their billeting quarters were well-prepared, his dedication was evident. The mayors of respective local government units (LGUs) and the four DepEd divisions in the province also contributed significantly to the athletes' preparation and success.

The athletes and coaches expressed their gratitude for the recognition and substantial allowances provided, which were instrumental in boosting their morale and performance. The excellent travel arrangements from Misamis Occidental to Camiguin and the well-selected billeting quarters added to the positive experience. 

"Salamat kaayo, Governor Henry Oaminal, sa tanang suporta sa food, uniform, allowance, ug sa among travel, ilabina sa among training. Dako kaayo ug katabang para sa amoa mga athletes," shared Ar Jade J. Tan, a volleyball athlete who secured a silver medal. (SN/PGMO)

Gov. Oaminal secures ₱60 million budget for OFOP program from Speaker Romualdez

OROQUIETA CITY, Misamis Occidental—Governor Henry S. Oaminal secured additional funding worth ₱60 million for the One Family, One Professional (OFOP) program and an additional ₱15 million for farmers during his visit to House Speaker Martin Romualdez in Manila.
