Oroquieta City launches Starlite Ferries’ newest route

 


Oroquieta City and the province of Misamis Occidental proudly announce the inauguration of Starlite Ferries' latest route, connecting Oroquieta to Larena, Tagbilaran, and Cebu, and vice versa. This new maritime connection opens doors to enhanced travel opportunities and economic growth for the province of Misamis Occidental.

The official launch, held at the San Vicente Bajo Port in Oroquieta City on April 29, 2024, marked a significant milestone in regional connectivity.

Mayor Lemuel Meyrick Acosta underscored the strategic importance of this route, emphasizing its role as an additional gateway that complements existing ports and enriches travel options for passengers and cargo.

Mayor Acosta expressed gratitude to Governor Henry Oaminal for his unwavering support, which has been instrumental in driving Oroquieta's progress. The partnership with Starlite Ferries symbolizes a joint commitment to fostering development and prosperity in the city and the province.

The Oroquieta - Larena - Tagbilaran - Cebu route offers various accommodation options, including economy class, reclining seats, and tourist class accommodation. Onboard amenities such as a canteen/restaurant provide passengers with dining options during their journey.

This new route represents a major step forward in provincial connectivity and economic development. It is poised to enhance trade relations and create opportunities for growth and prosperity across the Visayas and Mindanao regions.
