MisOcc Dad surprises Asenso athletes, inspires them to become champions in 2024 NMRAA
TUDELA, Misamis
Occidental—Governor Henry S. Oaminal, affectionately known as the father of the
province, hosted a heartwarming fellowship dinner on Saturday, April 13, for
the Asenso athletes, coaches, and trainers gearing up for the 2024 Northern
Mindanao Regional Athletics Association (NMRAA).
Governor Oaminal brought joy to
the athletes and coaches by surprising them with tokens of support. With a
generous heart, he provided a cash training allowance of P4,000 for the athletes
and P5,000 for the coaches, trainers, and chaperones at the Working Congressman
Sports and Cultural Center in Tudela, Misamis Occidental.
“Dear athletes, tonight we are
here to honor and inspire you to fight and emerge victorious for our sports
development program. Let us unite and strive to become champions of the 2024
Northern Mindanao Regional Athletics Association,” Governor Oaminal shared.
Recognizing the significant role
of sports in the province’s progress and unity, Governor Oaminal and his
administration pledged unwavering support for Asenso MisOcc athletes, coaches,
and families.
“As our Asenso athletes, we
commit to providing you with ongoing support not only during the NMRAA 2024 but
also beyond. We will continue to offer training programs to prepare you for
other national and even international competitions. This is our dedication
through our sports training program,” he affirmed.
Furthermore, Ozamiz Mayor Henry
“Indy” Oaminal, Congressman Sancho Fernando “Ando” Oaminal, and Governor
Oaminal sponsored sports uniforms for the Asenso athletes, bearing the brand of
Asenso services. The province will also supply hygiene kits with medicine and
shoes, among other essentials.
Governor Oaminal extended his
gratitude to the DepEd officials, teachers, and coaches for their tireless
commitment to nurturing the skills and talents of their athletes.
During the event, teams from
various sports showcased not only their athletic prowess but also their talents
in singing and dancing, fostering camaraderie and spirit among all
participants.
