  International Master (IM) Daniel Quizon from Dasmariñas, Cavite, emerged victorious at the 2nd Gov. Henry Oaminal Open Chess Tournament rapid division, which concluded on Wednesday at AYA Hotel and Residences in Clarin, Misamis Occidental. Quizon secured his win by drawing with fellow Dasmariñas native IM Michael Concio Jr. in the ninth and final round, finishing with 7.5 points. Despite tying for the top spot with Concio, Grandmaster (GM) Darwin Laylo of Dasmariñas, and IM Eric Labog Jr. of Solano, Nueva Vizcaya, Quizon claimed the championship title through the tie-break rule. "I am happy to have won the 2nd Gov. Henry S. Oaminal Open Chess Tournament. Oaminal Open Chess Tournament, taking place from July 9 to 10 at the AYA Hotel and Residences in Clarin, Misamis Occidental. Marcos Jr. and government officials spearheaded the turn-over of 2,566 land titles covering 3,009.57 hectares of agricultural land to 2,857 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Northern Mindanao on July 5.
