  The Supreme Court has dismissed the Petition for Certiorari with Prayer for the Issuance of a Temporary Restraining Order filed by the petitioners against the Lam-am Housing project. The petitioners, including individuals such as Liezl M. Torres, Conchita A. Danaoto, Joselita C. Amplayo, Jaime M. Dagodog, Angelita R. Dagodog, Elena P. Matutes, Virgilio R. Carpio, Constancia C. Unclara, Raul A. Denore, Tessie C. Denore, Catherine Janice E. Neri, Camilo E. Neri, Jr., Melina N. Soliano, Pinky B. De Guia, and Irenea E. Tadle brought the petition against Hon. Presiding Judge Soliver C. Peras, Regional Trial Court of Ozamiz City, Branch 15 and Branch 35, and the City of Ozamiz, represented by [then] Mayor Sancho Fernando F. Oaminal. The acronym “GOV Motabang” stands for Governor Opposed to Violence Misamis Occidental--Tabang Alang sa Babaye ug Bata Nga Ge-Abusuhan. The “Gov Motabang” initiative is a comprehensive program that aims to empower women and children by leveraging knowledge as a key instrument. This came during the committee's conduct of its first-semester meeting on March 26, where the provincial government touted its efforts to eradicate hunger and malnutrition in Misamis Occidental.  Under the HSO program, the committee targets to utilize the first 1000 days in the calendar to address nutritional needs. This primarily aims to enhance physical health and cognitive development among residents while providing potential economic benefits. Soft opening of SMLao Hospital a breakthrough to boost Ozamiz’s healthcare system—Mayor Oaminal

  OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental--The Local Government of Ozamiz, led by Mayor Henry “Indy” Oaminal Jr, led the soft opening of the SM Lao Memorial City General Hospital—which was considered a “significant breakthrough” in the city’s healthcare sector. Earlier this week, Oaminal stressed the inaugural ceremony for the new healthcare facility was “a crucial step towards enhancing healthcare accessibility and quality” within the province of Misamis Occidental under the visionary program of the Padayon Asenso Ozamiz Administration. The hospital's soft opening is part of its transitional period and allows the hospital team to adjust to the new facilities, personnel, and operational procedures.
